Stories remind us of our shared humanity, strengthen and build the connections between each other, and weave into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters.Take your scrapbook journaling from simply date, place, and time to the deeper telling of your story. In this class you’ll learn different ways to tell the stories behind the photos, and about the people in the photos. You will create three different layouts with storytelling techniques, using stamps from Ali Edwards and writing templates that can be used again and again. We will use prompts and techniques from English class to Instagram to StoryCorps and back to your albums. Create scrapbooks that not only tell the where and when of life, but also get to the heart of the stories behind them.
Students will need to bring:
- trimmer
- adhesive
- a selection of 5-10 favorite photos
